1 EMPIRE CITY TURF NOTES 1 s $ Before the first race Saturday Selby Burchs good campaigner, Thursday, was sent along for an easy mile in 1:486. The fractions for the move were :49, 1:16 5 and 1:29%. Max Hirsch also sent his Nipped for an easy mile in 1:45. After the running of the Yonkers Handicap, in which he saddled Lady Reigh, George Odom left for Saratoga. A. J. Joyner will ship the main division of the G. D. Widener stable to Saratoga Monday. Gene Leigh, who developed Epinard, was among the arrivals. He came from Arlington Park. W. T. Anderson left for Providence to inspect the new plant of the Narragansett Jockey Club, at which meeting he intends to race a division of his stable. ♦
