The latter, a strong factor from the start, disposed of SUN WORSHIP in the last eighth, but failed to hold the winner. DUNNY BOY, never far back, lost ground entering the stretch, but moved up fast when clear. SUN WORSHIP outsprinted the others from the start, held command under urging and tired in the d.ive. NYACK moved up gradually and was much the best ot the others. MIDSON quit badly after being close up for five eighths. GRAND CHAMPION failed to keep up under strong urging. DETROIT Continued from third page. MISS PURRAY, improved and benefited at the start, overtook CRACKLE after a quarter, withstood a long drive and won under pressure. CRACKLE, first away, raced into a clear lead going to the far turn and held on well. KIEVA, slow to start, moved up fast after three-eighths and outlasted LADYKIN. The latter closed a big gap in the stretch. AMAZING, unprepared at the start and forced to move up on the outside, closed resolutely. FREDRICK began in a tangle and quit after being rushed into contention. SHOOT was unprepared at the start. Overweight — Kieva, 4 pounds ; Bataille, 2. Corrected weight — Bataille, 106. KENTUCKY MOON trailed for a mile and three quarters and was much the best of the others. COMSTOCKERY was done after a mile and a half. REMPLI quit fast after a mile and a quarter.
