ARLINGTON PARK NOTES According to advice received here by rac ¬ ing secretary J B Campbell from Ben Holmes who is at Narragansett Park more stables are to be erected The 1000 stalls available were insufficient to care for the large number of stables which plan to race at the Pawtucket course courseJockey Jockey Don Meade who has been visiting his relatives at Plankington N D arrived Saturday morning to fill his engagement on E D Shaffers St Bernard one of the fa ¬ vorites in the Arlington Futurity Accom ¬ panying Meade were his mother sister and brother brotherTrainer Trainer D E Stewart decided to try Great Haste with blinkers and obtained permis ¬ sion from the stewards and the starter to add this equipment in her engagement in the SaturdayAmong second race Saturday Among the officials who planned on de ¬ parting for Narragansett Park Saturday were J B Campbell P C Galliger C J FitzGerald Jr William Doyle and Fred Crafton John Morrissey son of starter HarrytMorrissey was another that got away for Rliode Island IslandJockey Jockey Mack Garner resumed riding Sat ¬ urday after a few days inactivity due to a slight indisposition indispositionLee Lee Humphries and R Bobby Jones were other riders that came from distant points to ride in the Futurity the former had the mount on Good Gamble while Jones was astride Norman W Churchs Toro Nancy NancyJockey Jockey L Balaski who has been absent from the saddle for several weeks returned Saturday from his home in New Orleans where he was called on account of the ill ¬ ness of his mother
