NARRAGANSETT TURF NOTES J D Mikels chestnut twoyearold Jay D went on a tour of inspection at Narragan sett Park Saturday Breaking away from the boy as he was led out to exercise he whirled away Stable swipes chased him around the grandstand and out of the pad ¬ dock around the administration building and finally caught him near the clubhouse en ¬ trance tranceTwentyeight Twentyeight carloads of horses left Rock ingham Park for Narragansett immediately after Saturdays racing Sixteen carloads will arrive from Empire tomorrow Three hundred horses are already in the Narra ¬ gansett stalls and with horse vans rolling in steadily Walter OHara fears he cannot prevent overcrowding overcrowdingAmong Among the features that will charm and delight visitors to the new Rhode Island track will be the public address system that has been installed All races will be de ¬ scribed by outstanding experts Frank Wade will do most of the talking but Pat Horgan Jack Campbells chief assistant will take the mike for some of the more important events eventsSociety Society state officials jockey club officials and members of racing associations from all over the United States will attend Narra garisetts opening next Wednesday Almost all the clubhouse tables are booked for luncheon parties on opening day Governor Theodore Francis Green of Rhode Island sponsor of the state racing bill will be pres ¬ ent to welcome distinguished visitors
