PAEI-MUTUELS IN DOUBT ALBANY, N. Y., April 12. The constitutional amendment resolution to legalize pari-mutuel betting at the race tracks of New York state is on the senate calendar today for final passage, but it is not likely it will be considered today, as there are many other bills to be considered before Senator Twomeys pari-mutuel - resolution will be reached for action. This resolution, which has been sponsored by Senator Twomey, democrat of New York, is now apparently not as keen for his proposition after he declined yesterday to advance his resolution and Senator John J. Dunnigan, the democratic majority leader, took the matter, in hand and advanced it at once. It is reported at the capital today the pari-mutuel legislation is doomed and it is contended that it will not receive sufficient support to obtain its passage.
