BOWIE TURF NOTES f : e Ex-jockey Jimmy Butwell, who is here in the interest of the thirty days racing, beginning May 13 at Charles Town, Wf Va., states that more than thirty Maryland-owned establishments will ship there at the i conclusion of the forthcoming Pimlico meeting. Present plans call for jockey Silvio Coucci to remain at Havre de Grace for the first five daysof the meeting before reporting to the Greentree Stable at Jamaica. Marshall Cassidy returned from New York and resumed his duties as steward. During his absence, Alfred G. Vanderbilt acted in that capacity. Three cars of racers embracing the B. B. Stable, P. Bieber and W. N: Adrians, will pull out of the loading chute at Bowie on Sunday destined for Jamaica, L. I. Hirsch Jacobs, trainer for the above establishments, will be In charge of the shipment, Lou Haymaker vanned his stable headed by Slipper King to Havre de Grace Friday. P. E. Fitzgerald, who is training a public stable, including the racers owned by Mayor Frank Hayes, shipped his charges to Havre de Grace. C. P. Winfrey has arranged to send his stock to Jamaica to await the opening of the New York season on April 20. C. J. Amendola is sending Revonah and others of his useful string to Havre de Grace. By permission of the stewards, Brains, a scheduled starter in the sixth race, was excused from fulfilling his engagement, owing to track conditions.
