1 LOUISVILLE TURF NOTES S Edwin Anda, advance man for Phil Reuter, is here to arrange quarters for the Reuter and Elwood Sachsenmaier horses coming from Arlington Downs. The stable, headed by Roman Soldier, will be rolling towards Louisville by fast express less than twenty-four hours after Roman Soldier fills his engagement in the Texas Derby at the Waggoner course April 20. Developed by W. J. "Buddy" Hirsch, son of Max Hirsch and one of the countrys most able young trainers, Roman Soldier was sold to Reuter and Sachsenmaier at Miami last January. He is favorite for the Texas Derby. i "Unless the weather does not improve," said Howard Wells in a message to Tom Young, Downs track superintendent, "I do not expect to reach Louisville before next Saturday." Wells has the large Howard Oots string and main divisions of the D. B. Mid-kiff and C. E. Hamilton stables at Lexington. If the weather continues wet and otherwise unfavorable, Young expects Wells a few days ahead of schedule.
