AZUCAR LEAVES FOR EAST SAN MATEO, Calif., April 13 Azucar, winner of the Santa Anita Handicap, wilf leave Bay Meadows Sunday morning en route to Maryland. The strong running son of Milesius will depart on the California Limited of the Santa Fe line for the Pim-lico race track, where he will immediately go into training for eastern stake engagements. Azucar has fully recovered from the injury received in the Santa Anita Handicap and has picked up about fifty pounds in weight during his sojourn at the San Mateo track. Lex Wilson, who has charge of the horse for owner Fred M. Alger, stated that he expected his charge to be one of the outstanding handicap horses in America during the coming year and intimated that Azucar may again try for the rich turf prizes in- California next winter.
