DENY HORSES WERE POISONED BOWIE, Md., April 13. A rumor that Hows Chances and Canterboy, two that had been withdrawn from the feature of the day, had been poisoned, was denied by the stewards. It was said in support of the rumor that both three-year-olds were found down in their stalls in bad condition.- That was given" as an excuse for "their being with- drawn from the race. Later the stewards made a positive denial of the rumor, though the horses were excused from going to the post. "
