BANDIDA broke quickly from the inside post position and showing good speed in pacemaking had enough left at the end to hold ROLLER-COASTER. The latter was at a disadvantage in the outside post position but quickly sprinted to a contending position and although making a game bid in the stretch could not catch the winner. BLIND SAGE was never far away and turned in a good effort. JAY A. went evenly. KUMSIS had speed but tired in the stretch. VOLTDAIR and JABBERIE were forced to take up soon after the start. BRILLIANT QUEEN slipped through on the inside rounding the stretch turn to take a good lead in the run home and drew away in the last eighth. FANNIKINS displayed speed from the start, got through on the inside of GOOD DAME to take command when the latter tired and went well to the finish. CHAZZAN made up ground steadily and was going well at the finish. DARK DEVIL raced wide around the stretch turn and tired in the run home. BATAILLE tired in the stretch. GOOD DAME showed early speed. BRAILLE went to the front early, raced gamely after being headed by MARCABALA and outfinished the latter after a hard stretch drive. MARCABALA got through on the inside of BRAILLE after leaving the Lack stretch to take a short lead but although hard ridden, tired a trifle near the end and probably needed the race. MAKE AND BREAK improved his position gradually and was going well at the end. QUICK LOOK could not keep up and was all over the track in the stretch. TOTNESS showed speed in spots. ZANNY tired. EASTER TOMMY, lucky to escape interference on the first turn, followed MOON ROSE closely down the back stretch and heading the latter approaching the stretch turn, took a good lead to draw away in the final eighth. MOON ROSE went to the front at once, was hard ridden after being headed by the winner and had little trouble disposing of PLUM ELECTED. The latter moved up to challenge for second place on the stretch turn but tired in the run home. LAPLAND met with serious interference on the first turn and was crowded back. GABBO was in close quarters while making his run. DODIE was forced to pull up going to the first turn and lost all chance.
