MAY ADOPT WAITE CAMERA SAN MATEO, Calif., April 15. A number of western tracks may adopt the Waite camera to record finishes before another season has rolled around. The camera, which has been demonstrated in the West by Julius Reeder, has met with the approval of many, and among the courses which may use it in the future are Tanforan, Long-acres and tracks at Vancouver and Victoria. Unlike the Santa Anita camera, the Waite photographic device "shoots" pictures from the opposite side of the track. It costs far less to install than the camera in use at Santa Anita and is said to be as accurate.
