TO CAMPAIGN AT DETROIT Over 250 Horses Now Racing at Arlington Downs to Take Part in Motor City Meeting. ARLINGTON, Texas, April 15 The Detroit meeting, which opens May 23 and runs until July 4, inclusive, will draw heavily from the leading stables now racing at Arlington Downs, and it is probable that over 250 of the horses now stabled at the Waggoner plant will make the trek to Detroit, with possible stopovers at Chicago and Louisville. One of the largest strings that will be sent to Detroit is that of Mrs. A. M. Creech. In this lot are some useful performers. H. C. Rumage will send four useful horses, including Our Count and Bold Lover, now running in the stakes at Arlington Downs. A newcomer to Detroit will be S. T. Games, who will bring five. Another newcomer will be the stable of J. E. Mason of Paris, Ky., who is bringing sixteen. Frank Ianni will be back with Biff and four others, and the useful Cactus Stable, in charge of Waldo Freeman, includes fifteen horses. Butsey Hernandez is also sending some useful horses thirteen in all. The Blue Ribbon Stock Farm will be there with seven, and E. B. Carpenter will send seven, including Empty Bottle. Mickey Harrison will have a division of the W. C. Stroube stable, headed by the classy mare Croon, and Watt Seamster is shipping the stable of J. A. Griffith. The Blue Moon Stable, in charge of George Leeds; T. J. Kil-lion, H. Buckland and the Mayfield Stable are others who have already made stall applications.
