SABATH ON WAY EAST TO j INSPECT CAMERA DEVICES t . -..a Al Sabath, president of the Hawthorne organization, boarded the Twentieth Century Limited yesterday for New York, where he will visit Jamaica to inspect the Cassidy-Jones camera device now in use there. After spending Thursday and Friday at Jamaica, Sabath will go to Havre de Grace to look over the Waite camera, which the Maryland Racing Commission has adopted as official for all Old Line State tracks. While in New York Sabath will talk over terms with two prominent eastern racing officials with the view of signing them to act at Hawthorne. He would not divulge the identity of either official. Despite the fact that Sabath went East to inspect both the Cassidy-Jones and Waite cameras, he talked as if he was almost convinced that the device of the Automatio Electrical Devices, Inc., of St. Petersburg, Fla., was best of any he had seen thus far. This is called the "Foto-Electric Eye." Incidentally the representative of the Automatic Electrical Devices, Inc., told Sabath that their suit against Tropical Park had been settled out of court.
