MOLASSES BOB, away nicely and kept close to the pace, disposed of HAPPY HOSTESS when reaching the stretch, withstood a hard drive gamely and just lasted long enough to stall off BOULEVARD. The latter, messed around in the early running, swung to the outside approaching the stretch, rallied to punishment in the last eighth and was wearing the winner down approaching the finish. JIM CORN, very slow to get going, circled his field and closed full of run. MAX b. was hustled hard all the way. then tired in the last quarter mile. MISS ADELINE saved ground throughout and raced evenly. MR. DUNCANNON had no excuses. TITAN1CAL raced well. PINEAPPLE could not threaten. The others were never factors. Scratcheil34936 Trostar. 106. Wort driving second and third the same. SILVEItY CLOUD, favored by a change in riders, raced forwardly in the early racing, disposed of the leaders when reaching the stretch and held on stoutly to stall off IRISH VOTE. The latter, taken to the outside after reaching the back stretch, gained steadily and closed with good courage in the final drive. ALICE BYRD had much taken out of her racing with TAMBOV and tired after getting to the front midway of the final turn. ENERGETIC LADY lacked early speed and could not menace when put to pressure. TAMBOV broke into the air at the start, was rushed into the lead, but had nothing left for the final test. JAMUL raced evenly. The others had no excuses. LITTLE ARGO bore out badly ncaring the final turn, moved upsloutly when placed to punishment, came around the leaders and held CANPRA safe after getting to the front. CANPRA, in tight quarters approaching the stretch, obtained racing room when straightened out and finished in determined fashion. SUN ABBOT was rushed up rapidly to gain the lead at the turn out of the back stretch, saved ground, but was made too much use of and tired. CROWDED HOURS, well back at the first turn after saving ground, was sent into contention rapidly, was in tight quartets entering the stretch and failed to rally thereafter. JUSTA FLIGHT moved up strongly at the final turn, but tired fast in the final drive. TAUNTON was never a fatttfr. NEVER IDOL broke very slowly. LORD JOHNSON followed close up early, took command at the eighth fence, stayed with the winner gimely when challenged, but was not good enough in the final drive. BUCK LANGHORNE went to the pacemakers with a rush at the final turn, gained a short lead in the final eighth, but could not withstand the winner. CALUMET DICK fell far out of contention in the first three-quarters, then made up ground slowly in the last five-sixteenths. CHASAR, a slow starter, was unable to enter into contention at any stage. CHAMBERSBURGER, timidly handled, was allowed to drop out of contention after moving into a forward position on the inside at the first turn, then came with a belated effort in the last quarter mile. BABWRACK, far out of contention while trailing his field, ilosed full of run. QUIET PLEASE was gaining steadily in the late stages. SAN ANTIOCA was rushed off her feet early and tired.
