LIQUIDATION had good speed from the start, took command after a quarter, then failed to draw clear and, swerving out, tired in the final eighth. BALD CREST, under hustling tactics, took command at once, was steadied along for five-eighths and then tired under strong riding, but lasted. MARGARET G. moved into contention after a quarter, was in close quarters approaching the stretch turn, came through on the inside in the final eighth and outfinished FUNDERBURG. The latter forced the pace for three quarters, then tired slightly. JADAAN, on the outside throughout, raced evenly. FOREWARNED had no mishaps. Overweight Margaret G., 2 pounds.
