DOWN EAST raced close to the pace from the start but on the outside of the leaders, bore out badly entering the stretch and then came again to wear down ALARMING in the final drive. The latter saved ground entering the stretch after shaking off NOBLE SCOT and held on well to the end. NOBLE SCOT broke rapidly, but was taken under restraint when outrun, moved up entering the stretch under urging incA. " altcrcd- DETONATION was in close quarters after the break and finished fast when clear! ABSENT MINDED showed an even effort all the way. MAESUN saved ground throughout. PAPA JACK broke in a tangle and was away slowly. NINKI faltered badly in the stretch run. NEWARK was in close quarters after the break and was shuffled back. The latter was rushed into command after the start, showed early speed while saving ground and had no mishaps. ANNE G. was placed under pressure in the stretch and finished with a rush on the inside. CHANCE LIGHT raced forwardly all the way. BILLY M., close up early, faltered under urging in the stretch. STIPULATE was away slowly and made up ground under urging. GALLOPING had no excuses. EYOTA was outrun early. FLYING GYPSY ran in spots. TOMAH was outrun. CHOICE GOODS was on the outside of the field all the way. MISLED dropped back steadily after going an eighth.
