I ARLINGTON DOWNS NOTES I 3 i Salaam, Miss Ginbar and Ashen, which are expected to be among the field in the ,000 An Revoir Handicap, Arlington Downs closing feature, were seen in useful drills over a fast track Thursday morning. Salaam was sent a mile as his final preparation for the nine furlongs journey and he accomplished the task in 1:41. Stepping along at an even clip, he was timed the quarter in :24, half mile in :48 and the three-quarters in 1:14. He was under a mild drive during the final quarter. Miss Ginbar sped over four furlongs in :47, and Ashen went a handy three-quarters in 1:16. Nominations for the race closed Thursday. Emmett Hilcman, who Is serving as racing secretary, predicts a field of ten or more will be under colors. M. W. Buck, who is soliciting horses for the Agua Caliente meeting, stated this morning that forty-two head will go from here to Lower California at the end of this meeting. Buck is sending twelve charges and other owners listed are W. M. Emerson, F. J. Estes, Joe McBride and others. Apprentice W. L. Johnson and jockey M. L. Fallon left for Churchill Downs where they will report to Otis Clelland, trainer of the Mrs. R. J. Murphy stable.
