NEW DEAL TOP WEIGHT FOR SOUTH COUNTY HANDICAP PAWTUCKET, R. I., April 29. Araho Stables stake ace New Deal has been assigned top weight of 118 pounds by racing secretary Pat Horgan for the South County Handicap, supplementary feature of a great racing program which will mark the opening of Nar-ragansett Park Saturday. The principal feature will be the fourth running of the ,500 added Narragansett Handicap, a six furlongs sprint. The South County, to be run over the popular one mile and a sixteenth route for a purse of ,400, attracted sixteen nominations. F. L Flanders consistent Black-birder drew the second heaviest impost, with 113, while Mrs. F. S. Harris Breezing Along is rated third, with 109. The nominations, which include five couplings, follow: New Deal, 118; Blackbirder, 113; Breezing Along, 109; Corum, 107; East-port, 107; Gallaclay, 107; Jackie D., 106; Brendard, 104; Sachem, 101; Palan, 103; Bahamas, 100; Brown Prodigy, 100; Casca-pedia, 100; Gallant Eagle, 100; Miss Greenock, 100, and Oddcsa Boy, 100.
