HIGH BOTTOM rushed to the front, drew clear after disposing of LADY CHINIQUY but tired rapidly in the final eighth. JOHN BANE improved his position rapidly after five-sixteenths and held on gamely. EVA R., far back after a half mile, closed with a rush. CHICARO BOY raced wide and finished strongly. TEETER TOTTER made up ground on the outside. CHEKA tired after improvinir his position.
