ANOTHER TRUCKING STRIKE j NEW YORK, N. Y., Dec. 8. Another general trucking tieup faces New York and New j Jersey as 10,000 members of teamsters unions threatened to walk out in sympathy with aj strike of 2,000 employes of long distance! trucking terminals. The strike was called! in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Jersey City and Ho-! boken when the workers failed in a demand for a new contract guaranteeing a straight eight-hour day at .50 a day. About 418 terminals were involved, but the major bus companies said they hoped to continue uninterrupted service, inasmuch as the drivers remained at work. If a sympathy walkout is called by other allied unions a duplicate of the recent strike which tied up trucking j j in New York for a week may be the result. !
