BARONI SIGNS C. CORBETT LOS ANGELES, Calif., Dec. 8. A. A. "Bert" Baroni has taken a first call on" the services of jockey Charlie Corbett. Baroni has plenty of sharp horses in his barn ready to go on or shortly after the opening day, December 31. Specify, his top three-year-old, is training nicely and looks like a likely starter for the 0,000 New Years Stakes. Specify ran second to Seabiscuit in the Hollywood Gold Cup and won the Hollywood Derby.
