TRAINER J. A. BOWERS DIES CORAL GABLES, Fla., Dec. 29. Jack A. Bowers, of Providence, R. I., vho suffered a heart attack following the running of the fifth race Thursday, in which he saddled Harp Weaver for his employer, Mrs. M. Bar-nett, died en route to the hospital after being given medical treatment at Tropical Park. Bowers was witnessing the race from the passageway leading to the track from the paddock when he suffered the fatal attack.
