FIFTEEN NAMED FOR AUDUBON Crack Band of Sprinters to Clash at Fair Grounds. Old Rosebush in BrilUant Form Following Recent Victory No Standout Among Speedsters. . NEW ORLEANS, La., Dec. 30. Sprinters, which have been producing so much of the Fair Grounds splendid racing this winter, will get together once more in the six furlongs Audubon Handicap, which is to be offered as the feature of Saturdays program . here. Fifteen have been entered in the ,200-dash and most of them are expected to-be seen in the starting lineup, which includes practically every sprinter of top quality on the grounds. The Fair Grounds season has been running more than a month now and the sprinters have been given many opportunities to match their speed against each other, but there is so little to choose among them that honors have been widely distributed. No single thoroughbred here has yet established himself or herself as the peer of the division. A few have dropped by the wayside and have been dropped into less fashionable company, but there still are many with equal claims as championship contenders. Mrs. Anthony Pelleteris Old Rosebush returned to the racing wars after a long layoff with a handy victory a few days ago and he may present a claim on titular honors in tomorrows running of the Audubon. W. F. Mannaghs Chief Nadi, winner of the Car-rollton Handicap, has given consistently good accounts of himself against the best that could be mustered against him, while several others which have displayed fine form here this season are F. P. Letelliers My Lawyer, Mrs. A. M. Creechs Shining Heels, F. C. Murrays Clocks, C. E. Davisons Chance Ray and James Emerys Taken. All of these horses are to be seen under ! colors in the Audubon, which promises to be as interesting a spectacle as has been presented here this winter. Scheduled to clash at six furlongs are: PP.
