PHIL McKIM PASSES AWAY NEW YORK, N. Y., Dec. 30. Phil McKim, known to racing men from the Atlantic to the Pacific, died at his Bayside, L. I., home last night after a long illness. He was 68 years old and had been associated with racing for the best part of his life. For years he was cashier for Tom Shaw in the clubhouse on New York tracks and when bookmaking prevailed at winter tracks, which included San Francisco, New Orleans, Jacksonville, Hot Springs and others. He was born in St. Louis, Mo., and was associated with bookmaking in various capacities. The remains are at his late home, 36-13 212th Street, Bayside. A requiem mass will be sung at Sacred Heart Church in Bayside Monday morning at 9:45 a. m.f and interment will be in Mount St. Marys Cemetery, Flushing.
