BLOOMER GIRL began fast, was well rated within easy distance of the leaders and, finding room on the Inside entering the stretch, bore out and impeded HIGH TREASON and the rider of BLOOMER GIRL struck HIGH TREASON over the nose with his whip, for which he was disqualified. HIGH TREASON showed early speed to establish a short early lead while racing SURE CLOUD into defeat, but tired when urged in the final drive. ATTAINMENT, slow to get going, closed resolutely. MR. BUDDY raced evenly and finished well. SURE CLOUD tired after showing early speed. MISS TAD showed flashes of speed. HUSTLE ALONG had early speed, but quit badly. STAVKA raced in dull fashion. WORTHING was saved close to INA DEAR in the early stages and, racing the latter into defeat, drew clear and had enough left to withstand the challenge of FUMBLE. The latter, close up from the start, moved up dangerously in the stretch, but was unable to reach the winner. MOSS GAL, sluggish in the early stages, gradually improved her position and closed with good speed and was wearing down the first two at each stride. INA DEAR showed good early speed while making the pace, saved ground, but tired steadily near the end. STORY TIME raced evenly. SWIFTNESS could not improve his position under punishment. IVY X., slow to get going, moved up fast on the turn and, finding room on the inside entering the stretch when the leaders went wide, continued gamely under strong urging to hold PAPALINDA safe. The latter, well placed from the start, took a short lead cn the back stretch, drew clear on the turn, but went wide into the stretch, losing ground, then continued gamely when straightened out. QUEERPLAY, always a forward factor, swung wide into the stretch, but turned in a creditable performance. ALMA NUGGET raced evenly. WELSH STAR tired after showing early speed. The latter showed good early speed Jn the pacemakine, saved ground on the turn and continued gamely when overtaken. JANE VITO, a factor from the start, turned in a good race and finished well. BLACK RIVER was hustled away from the gate, but soon dropped out of it, then closed a gap in the final stages. LADFIELD was unable to keep up. Corrected weight Jane Vito, 106.
