I C R A AND THOROUGHBRED BREEDERS ASSN ARE AT ODDS ODDSUnable Unable to Iron Out Differences Regarding Strike at Woodbine WoodbineTORONTO TORONTO Ont May 22 At a late hour on Thursday there seemedNto be very little cliince of the I C R A and Thoroughbred Breeders Association settling their differ ¬ ences that would bring to an end the strike that began at Woodbine Park this morning Both parties are sure they are standing for their rights and it would seem that the present argument will be a long fought one oneAccording According to Ryland H New the horse ¬ men want nothing more than to have the man they voted for to represent them on the I C R A and New is that man Mr New said Looks like I am the goat in this casjj but I am a perfectly willing one oneThe The vicinity of the racing secretarys of ¬ fice which is usually a beehive of activity in the early morning was very quiet this morning The majority of horsemen did not leave the stabling quarters and until late in the afternoon only thirtyeight entries were registered at the secretarys office for Fridays racing racingThere There does not seem to be any chance of the two parties getting together and there is reason to believe the fight will be carried on to Thorncliffe Park unless some ¬ thing happens before the weekend weekendRUMORS RUMORS OF FUND FUNDAccording According to track rumors the Thorough ¬ bred Breeders are well prepared for more than a short strike It is said that a fund already amounting to 5000 has been gath ¬ ered together to take care of feed bills etc and that there was plenty more where that came from fromSix Six horsemen and their horses have al ¬ ready been given six hours notice to get off the grounds of the Ontario Jockey Club and it is said that more will receive the same notice within the next few hours hoursTORONTO TORONTO Ont May 22 The following statement was issued after a meeting of the directors of the Incorporated Canadian Rac ¬ ing Associations held at Woodbine Park Wednesday Mr George Hardy president of the Thoroughbred Breeders Association presented a letter in which he enclosed a heading of a petition to which no names were attached with regard to changing the representation of the Thoroughbred Breed ¬ ers Association on the I C R A board It was pointed out that our present board had been elected for the coming year before any intimation was made to us of any change desired by the Thoroughbred Breeders Asso ¬ ciation
