STALL PROBLEM CONFRONTS FAIRMOUNT PARK OFFICIALS OFFICIALSSix Six More Stables Are Assigned Quarters at Collinsville Oval OvalCOLLINSyiLLE COLLINSyiLLE 111 May 22 More and more horses are arriving daily at Fairmount Park for the twentyseven days of racing that will begin here next Friday when the program will be headed by the 1200 Me ¬ morial Day Handicap Six stables compris ¬ ing twentyfive head reached the local track this morning increasing the number of thor ¬ oughbreds on the grounds to well over 300 An estimated 300 more are in quarters out ¬ side the grounds and as many more are ex ¬ pected here within the next week The horse situation at the present time has racing sec ¬ retary R A Leigh Jr in a quandary as it is practically impossible to care for the nu ¬ merous owners who have requested stall space spaceThe The largest stable to reach the Madison County course today was the one trained by J F McEwan who unloaded the establish ment of George B McCamey Fort Worth Texas breeder In the shipment were the twoyearolds Yokel Robert Me and Macks Gem which came from Churchill Downs and Impseen Pin Ears Pilots Gal Bud By and the juveniles Macks Pride and Hes It which were transferred here from Sports ¬ mans Park ParkAnother Another important stable to reach here from the Chicago area was the one trained by Tony Janicki whose stable was headed by the handicap performer Doublrab the gray threeyearold who flaunts the silks of F Campagna Others making the trip from the Windy City were Grey Ivoire and Chry shera which race for R Frolik Chatterab the property of A Mabon Mrs J G Millers Good Servant and Otto C Ratzlows Fairab Janicki stated the half dozen made the trip without mishap mishapQUARTER QUARTER HORSES AT FARM FARMThree Three horses in charge of R W Lilly came from Churchill Downs They included Khaygram who races in the partnership of J N Wiggington Jr and Mrs Nancy L Lilly Rompedor a juvenile the property of Wiggington and John Y Brown and the twoyearold filly Vivacious Lady owned by Wiggington Lilly unable to secure stable quarters at Fairmount was forced to rent stall space at adjacent Creek Side farm for the trio trioIn In addition to the five head E E Major Jr brought here from Hot Springs for the partnership of Major and Luginbuel the young conditioner received this morning the twoyearold Maecita a chestnut daughter of The Southerner Chicago Belle which was shipped here from the farm near Kansas City Other members of the stable are Bil kan Boaver Lake Parlor Trick Pinnacle Light and Match Ship a juvenile gelded son of Vito Sewing Girl s sThe The onehorse stable of Mrs Jennie Ran Dazzo consisting of Goldendue in charge of Frank A Bailey was vanned here from Sportsmans Park while J Sandoli arrived in the same van with Mrs E De Ciccos threeyearold Wawchatter WawchatterThe The only other stable to put in an appear ¬ ance this morning was that of C D Boyd who brought Tureen Oxford Lad and Dusky Maid here from Beulah Park Boyd has been racing here for many years and his trio is popular among local patrons patronsMORE MORE BIG STABLES DUE DUESome Some of the larger stables scheduled to reach here in the next few days are the establishments of W Wilkerson who is com ¬ ing from Churchill Downs with thirteen Aldrich Winans due from Columbus with six Henri Torriente from Detroit with twelve J T Simmons from Columbus with ten and J Bronnenberg who is also coming from Beulah Park and who instructed rac ¬ ing secretary Leigh to bed down stalls for eight representatives representativesSome Some of the others who have stalls en ¬ gaged and who are due momentarily are Odie Clelland who is resting his fourteen at Churchill Downs C A Grande with the St Louisowned Rivermont Stable and con ¬ sisting of sixteen head Al Gaal with ten Dy Hoffmans eight J P Keezek with the Le Mar Stables seventeen Woodcock King with ten J C Ellis twelve E E Watsons fifteen and the balance of the C N Finch and J F ONeil stables The former will have seven more in addition to the four already here and the latter is bringing six others to join the two sent hero from Churchill Downs several days ago With the arrival of these stables and sev ¬ eral other smaller ones Fairmount Park will be taxed to capacity
