Won easily; second and third driving: JOE FISHER, a forward factor early, took command rounding the final turn and. under mild urging, came on to win going away. TUSCO, always within striking distance of the pace, moed up strongly in the final quarter while saving ground and finished gamely in the final drive, but was no match for the winner. BRAXTON BELL took command soon after the start and set the pace to the last quarter, the.i tired. LITTLE RHODY raced in spots and was never a serious factor. HAPPY WINNER raced evenly. EVEN TAN, well up from the start, staved rlo=e to the pace to the final quarter, then, under pressure, was rushed up to take command and drew away steadily in the final eighth to win as the rider pleased. ROADMASTER was rushed into the lead soon after the break came, set the pace for the first half mile, then gave way when the winner challenged, but vas much the best of the others. SIR KIEV, always in a contending position, closed some ground in the final eighth. SONG MASTER showed rood early speed and was tiring near the end. WAR JOE closed some ground in the final quarter. CHOICEALE tired after showing speed for a half mile. GROUND CLIPPER lost bis rider going to the first turn, then bore out badly. MEMPHIS LAD. well up for a quarter, dropped well back rounding the second turn, was then steered to the outside and. under a drive in the final eighth, got up to win narrowly. HAPPENED took command in the first seventy yards, set the pace to the last few yards, then tired slightly, but held on to save the place. EXTREMUS, always within striking distance of the leaders, was in close quarters on the inside going down the back stretch and again in the last sixteenth, then finished strongly. DEEP END. within striking distance of the leaders throughout, raced slightly wide rounding the far turn, but, under pressure in the last eighth, came on to get the place in the last few strides. HADA MOON took command in the first sixteenth, set the pace to midway of the stretch, then tired, but lasted to save the show narrowly. OCEAN BOUND raced in spots, but was never a serious factor. CONNIE ANN, having good early speed, set the pace for three-quarters, then tired when pressed. MR. SMITH raced evenly and was never able to threaten the leaders.
