All-Claiming Program At Sportsmans Today Eight Routers Race Mile and Sixteenth in Loop Purse CICERO, 111., May 7. — Tomorrows program of eight events is made up exclusively of claiming races. The fifth on the program, which has been titled "The Loop," will be the featured event, with eight distance horses competing over the mile and a sixteenth route for a purse of ,200. The race is for four-year-olds and older. The Columbine Stables silkbearer, Evil Spirit, a five-year-old son of Diavolo and Iseult, should have little trouble in taking the measure of this field, with the promise of a slow track, which is just to his liking. All his previous races over this half-mile oval have shown a marked improvement. His last race, in which he finished third to Allen jay and Relious at the same distance, gives him the edge. Uncle Walter, who was moved into first place when Hi Gold was disqualified in his last appearance at this track, rates as the one to prove most dangerous in the feature. Although the race was at seven furlongs the Sun Meadow gelding came from well back and has shown that he can go on if put to the test. Others that are scheduled to compete in this test of a mile and one-sixteenth are Earliana, from the stable of C. Nuckols; Owasse, Manila Bay, Art of War, Turntable and Star like. Jockey M. J. Haycock, who suffered a shaking up when he was thrown from Wahlune when his mount ran into Mill-fang when the latter was pulling up, has returned to action.
