ANOPHELES was sent to the front at once, drew away to a long lead after going the first quarter, held his advantage to the final eighth, then tired slightly, but had enough left to hold the closing rush of COMMISSION. The latter, in a contending position throughout, rushed up on the inside of the winner entering the final sixteenth, but had to be taken back for lack of racing room and was much the best of the others. WATERCURE, well back in the early running, closed steadily while saving ground, but was never able to reach a contending position. ADORESS raced evenly, but could never get within striking distance of the leaders. POMPTON was always well back. HONEY SEAT showed a eood effort for the first half, then gave up Scratched— 22862 BlazearouM, 106; 22737 Emdale, 110; 22819 Illinois Star, 112; 22988 Prefer Transit, 107; 22988 Gustavia, 105; 22984 Equioval, 107.
