Illinois Notes SPORTSMANS PARK, Cicero, HI., May 7. Gus Simone, trainer of a large public stable, checked in with eight horses from Latonia, Ky. The stable consists of Dora May, Flighty Marie, Hi Nickey, Busy Josie, Terry Weaver, Snickle Fritz, Tony H. and Hi Lutrecia. Apprentice Nick Villardito accompanied the horses and will do the light riding for the stable. Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Damm, owners of the two horses, Oust and Bonnie Bold, were visitors for a few days of racing from their home in Indianapolis, Ind. H. Jones trains the horses. Clem McCarthy, whose voice is known to millions of radio fans who follow sports of all kinds, will depart for Baltimore, Md., Friday evening. McCarthy will broadcast the Preakness Stakes which will be run at Pimlico on Saturday. This week McCarthy will be heard over the National Broadcasting System. Trainer Butsey Hernandez continues to send winners to the post here at this half-mile oval. To keep up his winning I streak, Hernandez saddled two winners Tuesday, Prince Puck, for Mrs. H. P. Bonner, the winner of the third race, and Allenjay, who races in his own interest, in the seventh event. Trainer Monte Parke, brother of Ivan Parke, was a visitor here for a few days from Arlington, Texas. Parke reports that jhe is shipping six horses from the farm I at Arlington, the property of A. McKnight, to Fairmount Park. Trainer R. J. Rossi, who does the con- i ditioning of the Guerin and Rossi horses, I was an arrival from Narragansett Park. The horses, Valdina Rebel and Skipper Mate, arrived here the early part of the week. - - Jockey Billie Pearson, a recent arrival from Louisville, has decided to wait until Lincoln Fields before resuming riding. Pearson will do the riding for the Molter and Williams stable.
