WENT TO POST— 2:32J. OFF AT 2:33 EASTERN WAR TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; third the same. LOST GOLD, prominent from the start and lightly reserved while following along within striking distance of the pace, moved up on the inside on the stretch turn and, taking command with a rush, had enough left to hold CIRCUS WINGS to a dead heat. CIRCUS WINGS forced the early pace, responded gamely to pressure and was up in the concluding stride to draw on even terms with LOST GOLD. NO SIR was slow to settle into his best stride, found clear racing room on the inside and closed with a rush. FLY GENT went to the front in the first strides, drew into a good lead and. rated along under slight restraint, tired under punishment in the last three-sixteenths. NOT YET was unable to close any ground in the drive. NIGHT TIDE was unable to engage the leaders. VINGT ET UN was never prominent. INDIAN PENNY was outrun. BLUE LEONA displayed speed from the start and. showing a decided liking for the going, drew away into a good lead, then, rated along under slight restraint after meeting determined opposition from CHANCE RUN, was not unduly threatened by the stoutly closing BRAS KITTY. The latter, away slowly and badly outpaced early, was forced to work a weaving course through her field and closed with a rush. CHANCE RUN went forwardly throughout and held on with good energy in the final drive. ADOLF, hard hustled to gain a forward position, was unable to close any ground in the drive. SECRET CHATTER was unable to reach the leaders. CALORY, prominent early, was unable to keep up. TRAVIS L. was never a serious threat. CONVIVIAL, away alertly but lacking speed to go along with the early leaders, was brought to the outside in the stretch and closed with a rush, getting up inside the last thirty yards. SILVER TIP raced forwardly throughout, succeeded in wearing down FLYING NED to gain a short lead inside the last seventy yards and, while fighting it out stubbornly, was unable to cope with the challenge of the winner. FLYING NED had speed from the start and held on well to the close. BIT OF SUGAR was forced wide while working her way up on the outside. MADLYNNE, hard hustled to hold to a prominent position, saved ground into the stretch, but was unable to close any ground through the last three sixteenths. LIBERTY B. was unable to reach the leaders. IS I AINT was outrun. BALL PLAYER, at home in the going, went to the front at once, drew clear, was rated along under steadying restraint and drew out through the stretch as if much the best. FANCY FREE, a trailer early and outrun until the last three-eighths, moved up gradually and came willingly during the stretch run. MASTER KEY, reserved early, moved up stoutly on the inside when leaving the back stretch, loomed up threateningly, but was unable to keep pace through the last quarter. MAEPEACE closed some ground over tiring horses. GOLD TOWER was much used in chasing the pace and tired in the last five sixteenths. RED MOON tired steadily in the last half. BAR COPPER, taken back of the pace, began moving up in the last three-eighths and, taking command when the early pacemaker began tiring, drew out steadily through the stretch. ALAFLAG, reserved back of the pace while holding a position well out in the track, moved up determinedly when called upon and continued with good energy to the close. VALDINA VALET dwelt slightly when the start came and was away poorly, then moved up steadily and closed an immense amount of ground. PLUCKY MUFFIN came willingly on the outside through the stretch after being outrun early. VALDINA ZEST moved up threateningly on the inside nearing the last turn, but gave way when placed to pressure. IMITRA, slow to settle into her be*t stride, moved up stoutly when leaving the back stretch and continued willingly to the end. ESELKAY began bettering his position in the last half and closed with splendid energy during the closing test. PORT SPIN closed some ground, although never a serious threat. ORCADES was unable to engage the leaders. BREEZE tired after racing prominently placed early. LADY ROMA was outrun. DRUCO SYSKA, unruly at the gate, reared unseating his rider, lacked speed and was far back all the way. BOBBY BUNTING had brief early speed.
