Kopla Tops Eleven-Horse Field in Pimlico Nursery Ral Parr Winner Carries 126 — Tellmenow Only Filly Entered BALTIMORE, Md., May 7.— Kopla, Jerry H. Louchheims fine son of Okapi and Shrew, who won the Ral Parr Stakes at ancient Pimlico last week, tops a field of eleven juveniles named for the thirty-fourth running of the Pimlico Nursery Stakes, tomorrows feature presentation at the Belvedere Avenue course of the Maryland Jockey Club. The Louchheim colt will shoulder the top burden of 125 pounds for the five-furlong dash, and except Hal Price Head-leys Tellmenow, the only filly in the race, the others will carry 122 pounds each. The leading two-year-old of the Keene-land meeting, Menex, who scored a driving victory jn the Lafayette Stakes at that point, will make his Maryland debut in the Nursery, and he will have the services of Eddie Arcaro, who directed his Lafayette score. Tellmenow was third in that stake and finished second to Kopla in the Ral Parr. Other entrants are John L. Sullivans Hygrohour and Queen Liberty, Gustave Rings Hasteville and Ringmenow, Stroube and Collins Liberty Pan and Teentee, Christiana Stables Quillon, and Donnybrook Farms Defense Bond. Hasteville, winner of his two starts here, established the track record of :52% for four and a half furlongs at his first asking, then came back to triumph in handy * fashion. Hygrohour led Kopla to the finish of the Bowie Kindergarten Stakes, but found the Okapi offspring too much for him in the Ral Parr Stakes. The Gunpowder, for three-year-olds, which attracted a field of five for a mile and seventy yards, supports the feature, and John L. Sullivans Cold Crack will pick up the top package of 119 pounds. Fire-broom, a winner here last week; Trade Last, Coochs Bridge and Cals Pet, complete the field.
