Old Smoothy Injured PAWTUCKET, R. I.. May 9.— Risdon and Smiths Old Smoothy may have a broken sesamoid bone and X-ray pictures of the horses foot were made today. Trainer J. P. Smith shipped 11 head to Suffolk Downs. He will receive the three-year-old filly, Fair Wig, from the Harry Mack Farm in Connecticut after arriving at the Boston track. This filly, which has never raced, is by Constitution out of Wig. Her dam was a prize-winning mare in Maryland horse shows.
