Marchbank, owner of Tanforan race track ; and well-known California breeder, will have his colors represented at Fairmount Park at the spring meeting opening Decoration Day, general manager D. C. Burnett [ has announced. J. R. Gregory, trainer for Marchbank as well as for Mrs. C. Greg- ory, will ship his 23-horse stable to Fair- mount at the conclusion of the Churchill Downs meeting and race this pretentious string during the entire 26 days of the Fairmount meeting. The Gregory string has been on the Pa- cific Coast for a year, only recently ship- ping to Churchill Downs, where Chatted, Gal Ann and Torchy have won during the last week. Those running in the name of Mr. Marchbank are Tenas-Tyee, Sagalie- Tyee and Gallant Laddie. The latter was pointed for the Kentucky Derby, but did not train up to expectations. Gregory has several horses in the lot which run in ,500 to ,000 races, while Pollenator and Lostagal are his nominees for the handicap division. Pollenator won at a mile last June at Hollywood Park in |1:3725. This horse will start at Churchill Downs before coming here. The complete list of the Gregory horses follows: Torchy, Strombus, Chatted, Gal Ann, Commendable, Tenas-Tyee, Sagalie-Tyee, Gallant Laddie, El Cabrillo, Lostagal, Edward A., Pollenator, Faraway Island, Beatsthemall, Oradia Owen, War Jig, Token, Hogan, Timberly Gold, Jungle Dick, Stouthearted, Broadus, Osunita.
