JACKET, steadied early, went into command leaving the eighth brush, established a commanding lead swiftly and won easily. DUNDRILLIN had early speed, was unable to withstand the winner, bobbled at the twelfth jump and tired. BAGPIPE moved into contention after a half mile, hobbled at the fifth hazard and failed to menace the leaders, but was much the best of the others. CAPTAIN BILL was outrun. GLORIANA opened up a commanding lead swiftly, set a fast pace and tired. LITTLE WIZARD worked his way forward through the field and closed with a rush. QUARTER TIME went evenly. AVESTA, steadied early, moved forward when ready, engaged SUPREME SPEED approaching the stretch and, withstanding a hard drive, got up in the final stride. SUPREME SPEED took command under hustling tactics, was unable to draw clear and tired near the end. MIGHTILY, never far back, improved his position through the field, but failed to threaten, jet was much the best of the others. DIZZY DAME closed fast on the inside. RESIDUE raced wide. RADIO WAVE had no mishaps. BURNER had good speed for five eighths. GRAND DUKE broke into TWO ACES at the start and pulled up lame. CHURCH SUPPER came from well back and finished on the inside. TOM RIVER lost mmh ground. IBEX tired after improving his portion. WARLOCK, slowest to start and well back early, lost much ground when improving his position, responded to strong handline when making his bid on the extreme outside, wore down the leaders in the last staees and drew clear rapidly. CAPE COD, a factor from the start, swung wide at the turn, came fast when straightened, subdued BLUE TWINK when inside the final forty yards, was unable to hold the winner and finished in a dead heat with ABRASION. The latter, well up from the start and on the outside early, moved forward with a rush and finished stronelv. BLUE TWINK took command at once, drew clear when CAPE COD bore out, established a fine lead swiftly and tired near the end. HIGH COMMAND was unable to keep up. Overweight — High Command. 3 pounds. ALSAB bothered VALDINA ORPHAN leaving the start, raced well back for three-quarters, moved forward on the outside of his field, responded to strong urging when wearing down the leaders and drew clear near the end. REQUESTED, steadied early, subdued APACHE entering the final half, drew clear swiftly, was put to strong pressure when tiring, was unable to hold the winner and finished in a dead heat with SUN AGAIN. The latter, lucky to find room when improving his position, offered a bold bid after losing ground entering the stretch and held on gamely. COLCHIS dropped back after the start, was well back for three-quarters, lost much ground when improving his position and closed with a rush. SHUT OUT was well back early, was pinched back at the far turn, came through the field when clear and hung in the last stages. FAIR CALL was in close quarters early, raced forward when clear and tired. VALDINA ORPHAN, never far back and in between horses, was knocked back approaching the stretch and came again after recovering. DEVIL DIVER had speed, was in close quarters during the run to the stretch and tired. APACHE rushed to the front, gave way to REQUESTED, held on to the stretch and then quit badly. PORTERS CAP, reserved early, raced into command when ready, established a clear lead under brisk handling and tired. YANKEE DANDY had no mishaps. DEVALUE saved ground throughout. HE ROLLS was eased when in close quarters approaching the far turn and failed to recover. FILISTEO tired after improving his position on the outside.
