Michigan Notes DETROIT, Mich., June 29. Robert Cramer, acting for Morris Wexler, sold the contract on apprentice jockey Keith Warner to James Powers. Eual Wyatt received four horses from Lincoln Fields last week. Superose, Star Wagon, Zacs Gal and Klondike made up the shipment and the latter pair is the property of CplPhil T. Chinn. R. H. McDaniel arrived from Lincoln Fields with the three-year-old gelding Mul-ligatawney, son of Burgoo King and Pan-ormic. C. Hyde Smith has taken over the conditioning of the James Powers stable which vas formerly trained by W. Lyle Dowling. Dowlingnow is a member of the U. S. Armyand stationed at Fort Custer, Mich. L. Martin checked in from Lincoln Fields with Wildland, Roughage and Milk Bar. The trio made the trip to the Fair Grounds without mishap. Frank E. Childs, popular trainer received word from his son Marvin, E., who is now a third classman at the United "States Military Academy, that young Childs now is taking his air training in Texas. Olin Johnson, trainer for the James C. Ellis establishment, is completely recovered from his recent illness and has taken full charge of the Kentucky-owned stable. Carter C. Curtiss, maintenance superintendent at the Detroit Fair Grounds, completed work on the track drainage system last week. L. Fry shipped Mrs. Frys Semishoot to Thistle Down and the horse will be campaigned at the Forest City course. Gene Smith has been appointed trainer for Miss Josephine Nelsons Maeque. S. F. Bradley is an arrival and registered his lone colorbearer, Skean Dhu. L. C. Hart, California sportsman, departed for the West Coast today according to trainer M. McCaskill, who trains the Hart stable here, which is Valdina Niece and Valdina Weidel. Mrs. W. Graves Sparks, wife of the popular trainer of the Brown Hotel Stable, arrived from her home in Louisville, and plans to remain here for a month of racing. J. J. Johnson arrived from Suffolk Downs with Sasy Mate.
