Report on Fairmount War Relief Program Today Ten Better-Th cm-Average Platers Vie for Honors in Main Offering COLLINSVILLE, 111., June 29. D. C. Burnett, general manager of the Fairmount Park Jockey Club, operators of Fairmount Park here, announced this morning the full report of the money raised Saturday to be turned over to the Army-Navy relief fund was not complete and it would be probably tomorrow before the gross receipts would be known. It is expected that about 0,000 will be turned over to the fund. The general manager of the local racing association is awaiting the final returns from the concessions and when this report is made, he will announce the gross receipts. In the meantime, the local session is fast coming to .a close. This is the final week of the 26-day season and an eight-race all-claiming program has been arranged for tomorrow by racing secretary R. A. Leigh, Jr. Heading the card is the sixth race in which 10 better-than-average plat-, ers meet at one mile and 70 yards. Nine of the number entered are winners during the meeting and the post of favoritism should be given Mrs. C. Gregorys veteran campaigner Torchy. Meeting the former handicap performer are Distract, holder of the five and one-half furlong record here; Henry Hatter, Blon Gla, Hot Iron, Sudden Thoughts, Hazel Lee, Friendly- Paul, Baby Gold and Red Tet. The latter is the only one entered who has failed to enter the winners circle during the spring session. Six others, winners since the start of the meeting, are entered in the fifth race at one mile and 70 yards. In this event, scheduled to match strides are Stairs, Shining Sea, Vesuvius, Mi Jock, Razor Sharp and Thos. With the exception of the two races named above, the other fields have a dozen or more entered. Sixteen were named for the fourth race, a two-year-old event at five furlongs which brings together a number of winners at the local track. It will be the semi-final "ladies day" of the meeting and Burnett expects another large crowd.
