PERSISTENT, under urging 7n the stretcli run, bore over sharply and caused some crowding and then held PAMPHLET safe.- The latter was bumped .in the early running, improved hjs position and finished with a rush. FLYING SON was prominent on the inside and was bothered slightly. SPARKLING MAID swerved in sharply in the stretch run. LIQUID LUNCH was in close quarters in the stretch. PROMINETTE could not keep up. BLUE WHISTLER began slowly. CANANEA was knocked back in the final eighth. TROILUS was blocked at the far turn.
