Santa Anita Turns Over Tons Of Rubber to National Pile ARCADIA, Calif., June 29. Tons of rubber have been collected at Santa Anita Park and contributed to the National stock pile. Los Angeles Turf Club, Inc., combed the racing plant and found a large supply of the material that was donated outright. The Santa Anita rubber was taken up from the floors of the dining decks in the Los Angeles Turf Club quarters; the long runners behind the pari-mutuel windows and miscellaneous other sources. All the rubber was in place in readiness for the opening of the canceled last meeting and is in excellent condition generally. The loading of the rubber was done by Boy Scout troops, and the transportation by trucks which were directed by the Auto Club "of Southern California.
