NEWMARKET, England.— Tom Ohlsons young mare, Olein, who recently foaled a bay colt foal by the Derby and St. Leger Stakes winner, Hyperion, is being mated with the promising young sire, Fair Trial, son of Fairway and Lady Juror, this sea-json. Olein, seven-year-old daughter of Colombo and Grand Peace, by Grand Parade, cost Ohlson 17,000 guineas about 6,500 at present rate of exchange at the Newmarket December sales, when disposed of with other offerings from the lata Lord Glanely stud. Ohlson, a private in the British Army, is this season racing in partnership with his brother, Sir Erifc Ohlson, the four-year-olds, Feberion and Hare Bell; the three-year-old, Red October, and the two-year-old unnamed colt, by Solario, out of Abbots Glen.
