BRIGHT ACRE, reserved until the last half, moved up stoutly and took the lead before reachine the far turn, drew clear, met a bold bid from NOPALOSA ROJO and held the latter safe to the end. NOPALOSA ROJO, rated along early, moved up steadily when called upon, made a determined effort to reach the leader at the eighth post, but was unable to close any ground during the remainder of the way. I.IKE GREENOCK went forwardly throughout and held on determinedly through the stretch. SPEEDY JOSIE made up some ground. TELLEVANE was never a serious threat. HASTY WIRE was unable to reach the leaders. SHIPS BELLS tired. MILKYMOON wanted for raring room after rounding the first turn and was unable to enter serious contention. PARI ERNEST was outrun. BALLACOLAS. on the outside while Fighting for the lead with GOLD RIVER, gained a short advantage after going three eighths and, increame his lead into the stretch, was never threatened duiing the remainder of the way. TRACER BULLET closed ground steadily during the stretch run. GOLD RIVER fought it out with the winner during the first three-eighths, hut was unable to keep pace during the last three sixteenths. NIGHT BOMBER, well placed, tired slightly in the drive. CLAN OGAEL was never a threat. MACS QUEST closed some ground. LIGHT SANDWICH, in close quarters soon after the start, was held safe throughout. ROMAN DESCENT began working her way forward during the last three eighths, took the lead in the stretch and drew clear through the final eighth. UGIN, outrun early, closed stoutly through the stretch run. ARGOS showed speed from the start, was much used in racing with MARJORIE S. and had little left for the closing drive. MARJORIE S., nimh used in fighting for the lead during the opening half, tired in the final drive. ANZAC made up some ground. CODY, well placed, failed to make up any ground when called upon. BRAVE SIR tired. CANTERUP Was unable to engage the leaders. BELMAR ARRA faltered under pressure. BIG RIPPLE I showed speed from the start and held on well to the end. GAY FLIGHT forced the eaily pace, but was unable to close any ground during the stretch run. DIZZY HEIGHTS made up some ground. CABANISI «M unable to engage the leaders. CHANCE CROSS was outrun. NIGHT PENNANT Moved up stoutly nearing the far turn, but failed to close any ground during the remainder of the trip. DERIVATIVE moved up stoutly at the close of the first quarter, showed in front in the stretch and, while battling it out gamely, just failed to last long enough. VALDINA TROTH moved up in the last five-sixteenths and closed with a rush. GREY SQUIRE, well placed, was ur.able to better his position in the final drive. FREEBORN tired under punishment. CONSOMME was outiun. DEVILS WIT quit badly after showing speed for the first half. JOLLITY stumbled and lost his rider in the opening three sixteenths. ABBE PIERRE, permitted to fettle into his stride without being hurried, trailed his company until the last half, circled his field and, wearing down SOLLURE in the stretch, drew out through the last eighth. SOLLCRE moved up on the outside, took command when ERIC KNIGHT began tiring and. while drawing clear, was unable to cope with the winner during the final drive. KANSAS closed in determined fashion through the stretch run. STAR COPY, in close quarters after rounding the first turn, had to be eased back, moved up when reaching the back stretch, worked her way up gradually, but tired under pressure in the last quarter. KINGFISHER, on the inside and prominent, tired in the last five-sixteenths. SAMHAR moved up. suffered some interference after straightening out in the stretch and was unable to threaten. K.
