The latter, moved forward on the outside, was sent through the field entering the stretch end, alti.ouah much the best of the others, failed tc menace the winner. HELEN I was quick to reach contention, faiied to hold the winner and eave way steadily in the drive. FLYING FAWN went evenly and held on well. LADY BALLET saved ground. BRABANT took command under hustling tactics, was unable to draw clear and tired rapidly in the late stages. ARMISTICE had a rough trip. TWEEDLEDUM quit.
