Nine Fleet Fillies Meet in Betsy Ross Sea Reigh Seeks | Suffolk Fixture Unbeaten Reigh Count Miss Meets Smart Lookin, Who Also Has Perfect Record BOSTON, Mass., June 18— One of the best fields of juvenile fillies in the history of the Betsy Ross Stakes has been named to contest the sixth running of this ,500 added prize, week-end feature offered over the Eastern Racing Association course. Nine of the original thirteen nominations were named through the entry box, among them two candidates from the Metropolitan circuit. The newcomers are the undefeated Sea Reigh. from the Lazy F Ranch, and George D. Wideners Vietta. It is likely that this pair will draw the bulk of the support. The unbeaten daughter of Reigh Count — Marine Girl in all likelihood will hold the post of favoritism. This miss, winner of the Bashti Purse at Aqueduct, sped over the five-furlong distance in 1:00 over a muddy racing strip. Prior to that, in her debut at Belmont Park, Sea Reigh won by two lengths over a capable field of maiden fillies. Consistently in the Money The capable Vietta, although yet to earn brackets, has been in the money "in four of her five outings. Her last appearance under silks was in the National Stallion Stakes, when, aftre carrying the early pace, she was forced to be content with third place, back of the Top Flight filly Mrs. Ames and Stirrup. On the strength of her splendid second to Mrs. Ames in the Fashion Stakes, the i Jamestown miss was backed into odds-on ! favoritism in her next start at Belmont Park, but proved a disappointment, landing in third place, behind Step Lively and Penomp. New Englands leading candidate is Allen T. Simmons Smart Lookin, a winner of her only two starts, both over the Suffolk Downs course. This miss, in achieving her most recent victory, raced the fastest five j furlongs of the local season, going in 59%. Others in the feature were Evelyn Rolls, Sickle Sun, Cattachiptico, In Vogue, Banyan and Sanoj.
