MIAMI SPRINGS raced to the leaders without need of strong urging after reaching the final half, was forced wide entering the stretch and, kept under pressure after taking command, held sway to the end. VENTURE CAP, aneay slowly and timidly handled early, made up ground while under good restraint on the final lurn, was taken to the inside in the stretch and, closing well, headed SAL OLD PAL in the final stride. The latter made the pace under good rating, drifted out entering the stretch and. while she readily submitted to the challenge of the winner, she made a eame effort in the drive. SONNY O. B.. a forward factor from the start and raced wide, tired in the stretch. ACE FLEET saved ground when racing close up on the final turn, but gave way suddenly in the stretch. ED M. was outrun. GENTLE SAVAGE, in close quarters early and kept in hand for about five-eighths, raced to the leaders gradually and bore over when tiring after wresting command from MASCULINE, but held the latter safe. MASCULINE forced the early p.t#e well in hand, took a short lead under light pressure entering the stretch, but tired. RED BERRY bettered his position steadily after five-eighths, came between horses in the stretch and finished well. ZOROASTRA began very slowly, lost much ground and showed a eood effort. EXTENDED failed to stay when put to a drive. CARMEL BOY also lost much around PARISIAN WITCH, taken back when blocked leaving the back stretch, had little chance thereafter. BLOSSOM QUEEN offered good early contention without need of urging, but faltered when called upon. JUDY JONES had speed, swerved repeatedly and quit badlv.
