First Ten Days of Gansett Sport Nets State 64#542 PAWTUCKET, R. I.. April 24.— From the receipts of the first 10 days of operation at Narragansett Park, the racing association paid to the state of Rhode Island as a tax on pari-mutuel wagering and breakage the sum of 64,542.42, an average of 6,454.24 per day. These figures make it very apparent that the state will receive approximately ,000,000 in taxes from the operation of the 28-day spring meeting, a sum 50 percent greater than the amount estimated by the state auditor when making up the state budget for the fiscal year.
