CABBAGETOWN broke alertly, assumed command on the far turn, widened advantage and won with speed in reserve. SO PROVOKED, quickest to begin, bore out slightly on the turn, then closed evenly and should improve. COSLIP, slow to begin, saved ground to finish willingly. GAL DU held command momentarily, remained closest to the leader entering the stretch, then weakened. LOOKINMELLOW was unable to improve position under urging. SPY HIGH had no excuse. JACO BLIXEN saved ground while improving position, assumed command nearing the furlong pole and widened advantage without urging. SEA TRAIL, well up on the inside, was eased back going to the far turn, was steered to the outside, then closed gamely under pressure. MUSICAL KID saved ground early to gain a slight lead, lost command leaving the backstretch and came again under urging to outfinish ANDREA KAY. The latter, in closest attendance of the pace to the far turn, weakened when, put to a drive. SHOE LACE was unable to keep up. INCOPO was outrun. YAREBOY appeared to dislike the going. BOUNDING BOW, reserved off the pace to the far turn, engaged JOAN ELISE nearing the furlong pole to assume command and was under steady pressure to hold TOP TRANSIT safe. The latter, well up on the inside, responded to stout handling in the stretch and finished willingly. ELLEN MIST, forwardly placed on the outside, lost ground entering the stretch, then closed evenly. WAVERLY improved position gradually to close stoutly. JOAN ELISE was hustled into early command and drew clear, but tired under pressure. ACKLEY was unable to keep up. EDNA LAWLESS lacked early speed. DRIDAS was under urging early to gain contention, but flattened out. The others were , never serious factors. SUPER FOOT set the pace under light urging, disposed of BEE W BEE on the final turn, then drew out and was never in danger. LOST GOLD improved position steadily, saved ground on the final turn and closed gamely. BEE W BEE engaged the leader to the far turn and held on well to the furlong pole, then weakened. BOGGING BOB raced evenly. EXTRA BASE tired after a half mile. LADYS ORPHAN was unable to reach the leaders. CHAIN MISS showed nothing. LOW TENSION remained with the leaders for a half mile, then weakened. FIRST COMMAND ran off an eighth from the gate and showed nothing in the race. COPYWRIGHT was never a factor. HELENE set the pace under light urging, drew into a comfortable lead after a half mile, then shortened stride when challenged. GRUBSTAKE went evenly. COUNTERSHOCK was unable to threaten. BELLSBORO, on the outside, failed to make up ground when set down. CALVERT showed nothing. CEE RAF, not hustled while outrun, failed to respond when put to steady pressure.
