Wolverine Breeders Group Accepted by National Assn. LEXINGTON, Ky., -June 2. — The executive committee of the National Association of Thorougbred Breeders announced the acceptance of a membership application from the Wolverine Thoroughbred Horse Breeders Association of Michigan. The executive committee of the NATB con-I sists of Jack W. Denis, president, Grant A. I Dorland, vice-president, and Dr. Eslie As-bury, central vice-president. I The Michigan group is the eighth state organization to join the national body in the past two years. Membership associa-! tions now are located in 11 states — Cali-I fornia, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Kentuc-: ky 2, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio, Oregon, Tennessee and Virginia. Because of the increasing need for thoroughbred breeders to present a united front, the NATB expects thaa other well organized state associations will present membership applications in the near future. President of the Wolverine THBA is Dr. David Loewith, Metomora; William O. Bridge, Pontiac, is vice-president and A. E. Westphal, Warren, is secretary-treasurer. These officers and R. C. Groff, Clio; I Ray Coons, Walled Lake; and Dayton Mat-kin, Hazel Park, compose the board of directors. The Michigan group has 37 members, bringing individual membership in the NATB to about 1,800.
