BOUNCING BOOTS raced evenly to v the stretch, responded well when straightened up after bearing to the inside near the furlong post and outgamed EXCITABLE MARY. The latter, a sharp factor from the beginning, was in close quarters during the drive, but had sufficient racing room and could not withstand the winner. EXCITABLE MARYS rider, who came out in the post parade with his blouse silks out of order, made a claim of foul against the winner, which was not allowed by the stewards. TAC0NY went to the front early, made the pace to the last, eighth while engaging EXCITABLE MARY, then faltered. BORN TO WIN lacked early speed. BRIGHT STEEL was never dangerous and raced wide during the last quarter mile. PLAY AT could not keep up. Overweight— Bright Steel, 1 pound. SIXTH RACE 3-4 MILE out of chute. OLD TOM assumed command at once, held atlear lead when settled in the stretch but was hard urged during the drive to withstand DIXIE FLYER. The latter, forwaruiy placed from the outset, was sent to the outside for the stretch run and, closing fast, could not overtake the winner. COUNTESS MOLLY saved ground throughout, remained on the inside for the drive and finished strongly, probably needing her race. BABY COMET was outrun. ROYAL HELI0 went to the front early, made the pace to the upper turn, then faltered when challenged by the winner, but lasted to hold RUSHLAND safe. RUSH-LAND, in hand to the last three-eighths, could not overtake ROYAL HELI0 when set down through the stretch. BUSY FARMER was outrun. IS0CRATES began slowly and was never dangerous. FREEDOM TRAIN saved ground while improving position to the stretch, raced by BUSHEL, then hold on gamely under punishment and lasted to hold HIGH TEST. The latter, forced back immediately after the beginning, gradually worked way forward when clear, was kept to the outside for the stretch run and, closing fast, was getting to the winner. BUSHEL-went to the front early, made the pace to the stretch, but faltered when challenged by FREEDOM TRAIN. BEAU NASH had early speed, but drifted out badly during the last quarter mile.
