BETSY MARIE was well placed on the rail, came out leaving the turn,. reached command in the stretch and drew away. TEDDIES IMP, a sharp factor from the start, made a bold bid in the stretch, but was not good enough. DEFLATION, away sluggishly, was rushed into a contending position from the outside and lacked a closing rally. NAVY FLASH shook off her opposition and drew clear leaving the turn, then tired in the drive. GAY SONG had early speed and gave way. GOOD SPORT was slow to begin and raced wide. The latter swerved out at the break, gained a clear advantage early and faltered slightly. YOR OPTICIAN was pinched back at the start. JUDY BOCLAIRE had brief speed and gave way. RUB-ADUB-DUB. A SCHEDULED STARTER, INJURED HER LEFT HIND LEG WHILE BEING BROUGHT TO THE PADDOCK, WAS WITHDRAWN AND ALL WAGERS ON HER WERE REFUNDED, INCLUDING THE COUPLING OF HER IN THE DAILY DOUBLE WITH BETSY MARIE. SHY BIM broke tardily, was outrun early, moved up on the outside with a rush and displaced ERASER in the late stages. The latter established a clear lead on the backstretch and came to the rail, then tired suddenly in the drive. BOOT ALL broke poorly, was fortunate to find room on the inside when gaining best stride and finished strongly. MOBILE BELLE ran forwardly until the stretch and faltered slightly. POPPAEA was cautiously handled while always between horses and lacked a rally. HAY MOM swung wide leaving the turn. SPANISH CREAM saved ground and had no excuse. QUIZ SONG tired, as did RAMPALLION. .QUICK DEAL had good speed for a half mile and gave way. PRINCESS BLY broke slowly, as did EYE ONE TWO. Scratched— 27243 Algerian, 110. HOW veered in slightly at the start, was brought to the outside when clear early-in the backstretch, came to the rail midway of the turn, disposed of the leaders on the inside and won easily. KISS ME KATE broke tardily, worked her way up between horses under mild encouragement to be a sharp factor after a half mile, threatened boldly for the lead leaving the turn, but was no match for the winner; JACODEMA, always prominent, went into command when WISTERIA gave way, drifted out slightly leaving the turn and lacked a closing rally. NOTHIRDCHANCE, far back early was forced to race wide while improving position, was blocked momentarily in the stretch and finished well VULCANIA, with the first flight from the start, made a bold bid leaving the turn and weakened. SIGNAL Was far back and caught tired horses. VALADIUM tired. SWEET TALK, forwardly placed from the start tired badly in the final quarter mile. WISTERIA made the pace early and quit.
